Section R3-11-703. Maintenance Standards for a Veterinary Medical Premises

A Responsible Veterinarian shall ensure that:
1. All exits, corridors, and passageways inside and outside the veterinary medical premises are unobstructed at all times;
2. Combustible material such as paper, boxes, and rags are not allowed to accumulate inside or outside the veterinary medical premises;
3. Temperatures are maintained between 65°F and 90°F in each room where an animal, other than livestock, is treated or housed;
4. Floors, countertops, tables, sinks, and any other equip- ment or fixtures used in a veterinary medical premises are maintained in a clean condition and sanitized after con- tact with an animal or animal tissue; and
5. Animal compartments are cleaned and sanitized at least once every 24 hours when an animal, other than live- stock, is being housed and after each animal, other than livestock, vacates the compartment.
