Section R9-6-328. Encephalitis: Viral or Parasitic

Case control measures: A local health agency shall:
1. Upon receiving a report under R9-6-202 of a viral or par- asitic encephalitis case or suspect case, notify the Depart- ment within one working day after receiving the report and provide to the Department the information contained in the report;
2. Conduct an epidemiologic investigation of each reported viral or parasitic encephalitis case or suspect case; and
3. For each encephalitis case, submit to the Department, as specified in Article 2, Table 4, the information required under R9-6-206(D).
