Section R9-15-204. Award Amounts

A. The Department determines the annual amount of a loan repayment award based upon:
1. The priority ranking of the service site at which the pri- mary care provider plans to serve the contract obligation,
2. The amount of loan repayment requested,
3. The contract year of service, and
4. The availability of funds.
B. The Department provides loan repayment awards to physi- cians and dentists according to the following schedule:

C. The Department provides loan repayment awards to mid-level providers according to the following schedule:

D. The Department shall not award an amount that exceeds the primary care provider’s total qualifying loan indebtedness.
E. The Department shall award a primary care provider the amount of loan repayment requested unless the amount requested exceeds the maximum annual amount allowable according to subsection (B) or (C) or the Department has inad- equate funds to provide the maximum annual amount allow- able and the primary care provider agrees to contract for a lesser amount.
