Section R9-14-604. Third Party Accreditation

A. A laboratory that holds current and valid accreditation issued by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program administered by the National Institute of Standards and Tech- nology is exempt from licensure under this Article, as autho- rized under A.R.S. § 36-495.02, for the term of the accreditation.
B. If a laboratory’s accreditation issued by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program expires or is suspended, revoked, or voluntarily terminated, the laboratory is required to be licensed as provided under A.R.S. Title 36, Chapter 4.3 and this Article.
