  • A.      In computing any time period:

    1.        “Day” means a calendar day;

    2.        “Workday” means Monday through Friday, excluding Arizona state holidays;

    3.        The Department does not count the date of the act, event, notice, or default from which a designated time period begins to run as part of the time period; and

    4.        The Department counts the last day of the designated time period unless it is a Saturday, Sunday, or Arizona state holiday.

    B.       The Department deems a document that the Department mailed as given to the addressee on the date mailed, or other- wise transmitted as provided by law, to the addressee’s last known address. The Department presumes that the mailing date is the date shown on the document unless the facts show otherwise.
