  • All hearings before the Auditor General or a hearing officer shall be mechanically recorded or stenographically reported. Nothing con- tained herein shall be construed as prohibiting or limiting any per- son from mechanically recording the proceedings or having them stenographically reported. However, the official record of the pro- ceeding shall be that which is designated by the Auditor General. The cost of the reporter, if any, and the transcript shall be paid by the party making the request unless assessment of the cost is waived by the Auditor General.
