Section R20-5-412. Automatic Low-water Fuel Cutoff Devices or Combined Water Feeding and Fuel Cutoff Devices

  • A.      An owner, user, or operator shall ensure that low-water fuel cutoff devices or combined water feeding and fuel cutoff devices do not interfere with an operator’s or inspector’s abil- ity to safely clean, repair, or inspect a boiler or lined hot water heater.

    B.       A low-water fuel cutoff device shall have a pressure rating not less than the set pressure of the safety valve or safety relief valve.

    C.      In addition to the requirements of subsections (A) and (B), all low-water fuel cutoffs and flow sensing devices shall be con- structed and installed in accordance with applicable ASME Code and standards for boilers and steam jacked kettles in R20-5-404(A).
