Section R2-8-521. Adjustment of Errors

A. If the ASRS determines an error has been made in the informa- tion provided by the member or in the calculations made by the ASRS, the ASRS shall make an adjustment, including, but limited to, increasing or decreasing a member’s total credited service with the ASRS and increasing or decreasing the pay- ment amount.
B. If the ASRS determines that a member is receiving or is eligi- ble to receive retirement benefits from another public employee retirement system that makes the member ineligible to purchase service credit for the same period, the ASRS shall revoke that purchase of service credit, and return any pay- ments made, less any interest payments made, if applicable.
C. The ASRS shall notify the member in writing of any adjust- ments.
