Section R15-7-210. Multiple Winners

  • If it is necessary to share a designated prize because there are multi- ple winners on the last called number, the following provisions apply:

    1.        If the designated prize consists of cash or check, a lic- ensee shall divide the total amount of the prize equally between the verified winners. The licensee may round prize amounts up to the next higher dollar.

    2.        If the designated prize is an item of merchandise that can- not be divided, the bingo licensee shall do either of the following:

    a.         Award to each verified winner an identical prize or substitute merchandise prize closely approximate or equal in value to the other prizes awarded with the aggregate value of all prizes awarded not exceeding the value of the designated prize; or

    b.        Award to each verified winner an identical amount of money by check or cash with the total value of the amount awarded equaling the value of the desig- nated prize.

    3.        Subject to subsections (1) and (2), a licensee may estab- lish minimum prizes.
