Section R13-6-503. Vehicle Markings, Emblems, and Insignia

A. The qualifying party shall ensure that a vehicle under the con- trol of a security guard agency does not bear markings similar to the vehicle markings used by a law enforcement agency of the federal or state government or a political subdivision of the state.
B. The qualifying party shall ensure that emblems, seals, and other insignia on a vehicle under the control of a security guard agency do not bear the words “Police,” “Officer,” “Patrolman,” “Deputy,” “Marshall,” “Sheriff,” “Agent,” or any other word that could cause a reasonable person to confuse the vehicle with a law enforcement vehicle.
C. The qualifying party shall ensure that all markings, emblems, seals, and other insignia displayed on a vehicle under the con- trol of a security guard agency have written approval from the Department before being displayed.
D. A vehicle under the control of a security guard agency is not an authorized emergency vehicle. The operator of a vehicle under the control of a security guard agency shall comply with all traffic-control laws.
E. The qualifying party shall ensure that a vehicle under the con- trol of a security guard agency is not equipped with a siren or bell unless the vehicle is an armored car equipped with a siren as a crime alarm device.
