Section R12-4-521. Placing or Tampering with Regulatory Markers or Aids to Navigation

  • A.      A person shall not mark the waterways or their shorelines in this state with mooring buoys, regulatory markers, aids to nav- igation, or other types of permitted waterway marking devices as established under R12-4-520, without authorization from the governmental agency or the private interest having juris- diction on such waters.

    B.       A person shall not moor or fasten a watercraft to any marker not intended for mooring, or willfully damage, tamper with, remove, obstruct, or interfere with any aid to navigation, regu- latory marker or other type of permitted waterway marking devices as established under R12-4-520, except in the perfor- mance of authorized maintenance responsibilities or as autho- rized under R12-4-518 or R12-4-522.
