Section R12-15-814. Disinfection of Wells

A well drilling contractor shall disinfect any well from which the water to be withdrawn is intended to be utilized for human con- sumption or culinary purposes without prior treatment before removing the drill rig from the well site in accordance with the requirements contained in Engineering Bulletin No. 8, “Disinfec- tion of Water Systems”, issued by the Arizona Department of Health Services in August 1978, and Engineering Bulletin No. 10, “Guidelines for the Construction of Water Systems”, issued by the Arizona Department of Health Services in May 1978, both of which are incorporated by reference and are on file with the Office of the Secretary of State. Copies of the Engineering Bulletins referred to above may be obtained with these rules at the Office of the Secre- tary of State of the State of Arizona, State Capitol, West Wing, Phoenix, Arizona 85007, and from the Department of Water Resources, 3550 N. Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85012. This rule does not include any later amendments or editions of those Bulle- tins.
