Hoods and ducts that are to be used in the digestion and/or evapora- tion, involving the use of perchloric acid must be made of chemi- cally inert, non-combustible material and so constructed and

designed that they can be thoroughly washed with water. The exhaust system shall discharge to a safe location and the fans be accessible for cleaning.
